PBWiki was fun...once I was able to log in! I added my blog to the favourites page and also added my favourite book. There are so many 'favourites' it was fun to check them out. A fun site....as yummy as a peanut butter sandwich!
It all began just a few weeks ago, When I enrolled in Learning 2.0, At first a blog I had to create, The very thought left me in a state, But this was fun, "You can do it" I said, (Just had to get that firmly in my head!).
At first came flickr, oh the sheer delight, I looked at photos and played all night, At home in the comfy of my own little office, I was glued to the screen, no-one seemed to notice, Till the bill from Bigpond arrived, oh dear! For extra downloads I must pay, I fear.
RSS feeds, now this was a tricky one, To make a feed just click on the icon, It was quite a challenge, I must confess, I nearly spat the dummy and went home with stress! For my hair is grey and my hearing dim, But when I "got it"...you should have seen my grin.
Then it was time to play again, Oh the fun of generators - just look at that train. I made buttons, comics, street signs and more, The fun I had...there were generators galore. At the LibraryThing I then took a look, Can you believe it....I can catalogue my books.
My tastebuds were tempted with the lovely Del.icio.us, Now my sites are all tagged...like a menu of dishes, I can tag each one any way I choose, Like "sweets", "daily", "books" or shoes. Technorati was not so exciting, Though some of those blogs are quite enticing. Wikis, wikis everywhere, So many favourites - what a great way to share. So much to find and so easy to use, You don't need a website to share all your news. If it's info you need and you want it on hand, Search for a wiki, it's like playing in the sand. Now Zoho write was another great site, Of use to the author with lots to write, No need for "office", "excel" or "word", For Zoho has these, and more beside. And if that's not enough there's google docs. too, Very easy to use - just waiting for you.
The Web 2.0 tools that can be found, The variety and number is sure to astound. Biblio I did enjoy, I really liked this new found toy. I searched and found some lovely old books, On quilting, history and one for cooks. YouTube Ithought was a great invention, To play all night was not my intention! But the fun I had watching clips old and new, I got carried away till quite late, 'tis true. Then I tried podcasts, another great tool, A fun way of learning....no need for school.
Downloadable audios...what a great idea, Books that everyone has a chance to hear, Not just for the blind, you can listen in your car While your travelling to work or near and far, Knitting a jumper or sewing a quilt to show, Audio books are the way to go!
Now the journey has ended....or has it just begun? Oh the things I 've discovered and oh, how much fun. Now I want to keep on learning, To keep the brain cogs turning, For it's only just the start, there is more I want to know, I want to keep on learning, to know and know and know.
